Diverse and Free music - iTunes
Since summer this year, I have been purchasing songs from iTunes. Other than one album that I paid for everything else have been pretty free. No, I am not cheating them or anything, nor did I win a lot of iTunes Pepsi points. You see, iTunes gives away 1 song every week as Download of the week. I have been getting those since May.
Though at first it just started of with why not get them it’s free anyways, later it ended up being a way to explore the musical horizon. From the 20+ downloads, there are actually couple of songs that are pretty good. Now these songs are not pandered towards the MTV crowd either so is many cased I have found artists that I have not ever heard before from various genre’s like Hip/Hop, Alternative, Pop, Country, R&B and even Rock.
I realize that I did DJ for a radio station that defines itself the only Quality Diverse radio, but during my time there the most diverse stuff I found were definitely not of my interests. While there were a few stuff that I occasionally found to be very pleasing, most of the stuff was rather annoying noise. Once I get my huge project of creating the msot awesome playlists for my iPod, may be I will enlighten everyone more about my dicoveries.
