“Looking at you makes my heart go into a kernel panic!”
“Ubuntu means humanity towards others. Why don’t you show a little to me?”
“Ever see a penguin charge at you at speeds in excess of 100 mph?”
“I ran the locate command to find my heart. I believe you have it.”
“I gave you permission to access my heart.”
“I was googling for you.. and I’m feelin’ lucky!”

Gatwick, a step closer to home

Though I have embarked on this journay over 12 hours ago, the whole situation hit me finally only 8 hours before when I walked into the Atlanta Hartsfield Airport. Fortunate for me all the checking and annoucing and marking was all done under 1 hour. However, I was at the airport 4 hours in advance, so that meant I had 3 whole hours to do, nothing!!

After walking around a bit, checking out shops and sleeping with a big tub of Mango Passion Smoothie, I was really really bored. In fact, for the last hour of the wait, I was standing in line just to get my Detlta Sky Miles. Yes, I know. I was bored. Come on.

The flight to London was uneventful, except for me sneaking into an empty business class seat and napping there for one hour, that is. Currently, I’m here sitting in London, using the technology and letting the world know, “Hey! Guess what? I’m not in US anymore! :P” Next in the plan, is to make a couple of phone calls, may be and somehow spend the rest 1.5 hours of my wait. Shouldn’t be that bad. I wonder how Dubai would treat me.

All hail the Brit accent and the lovely Brit gals.

People of Agrabah

So I didn’t know what to do with Shiyal.com. I obviously don’t get enough time to write up movie reviews every day. And the once a month movie review just doesn’t work. I have other friends who can do a better job than me anyways. So I was wondering what I want to do with it, and I decided that I’m just gonna have Shiyal.com as my photo gallery.

For now, there are some ‘unedited’ photographs that I have taken this year. If I ever get back to any graphix work, I would put them up there again. So yeah, go ahead and enjoy :)

Internet, a step closer to everyone

It’s amazing how the world suddenly feels very small when you can get so much information just out of the internet. I mean starting from shopping to paying bills, to reading news, to keeping tabs on friends, it is just amazing big network that is truely the world wide web in more sense than one. Think about it, becuz of the net, I can chat with my friends at downtown to the ones in Bangladesh. Also I can read up their latest endeavours on their blogs and keep tabs on them that way. Not to mention that at times we get to related ideas back and forth on just blog comments. That is just the start, then we have more new technologies that are just making things simpler, faster and useful. Think about technologies that going from sharing whiteboard to voice and video conversation. The world may be big, but just as getting from one part to another is just a matter of having the resources, so is keeping tabs on things all around the globe.

Change is inevitable, but this much?

Just when I thought that the change in life could not be any bigger, bam! There’s one more change to account for. Actually I knew that this one was coming but I only could not comprehend it until of late. My sister is coming to Charlotte, NC for grad school. And of course being 5 hours away from me will make quit a change in my lie. I mean come on, how can I be only 5 hours away and not go to see her often. She’s scheduled to come back with me, which is awesome and then she’ll be here for a week before I go and drop her off (just becuz I’m such a nice guy).

This, however, also means that I have to kinda change some of my plans for thanx giving, but do not fear. I really do want to go to California this turn.
