Cali Trip: Davis and Sacramanto

California. I’ve been here for about two days now driving around this thing that they label as the PT Cruiser. Apparently it’s an economy level rental car type vehicle.

Anyways, Davis is quite a nice college town. Of the college towns I have been to, I have to say that I love the fact that this is also a big bicycle town. I mean it’s so bike friendly that they even have stop and go lights for bicycles.

Sacramanto on the other hand struck to me as a small city, with a handful of tall buildings. Parts of it reminds me of New York. Other parts reminded me of Albany, NY. And some little parts could be marked as Atlanta, but not too much. The interesting thing is that you go 1 mile away from the city you can see farm lands. It’s actually cool.

Joe and I checked out this community today with a whole bunch of new houses. The location of the community was great. It’s 10 minutes from the airport and 10 minutes from downtown Sacramanto. And there were a couple that we thought looked great, but of course the prise is always closer to a half million when we like it.

More to come as shit happens.

Work Work

I guess I should find myself partying my ass off, but where do I find myself? You’ll never guess. What? How did you know I am work at this hour?

The world is a mess

You know that the World is a fucked up mess when you hear something like this first thing in the morning. If you read the article, yes it does say that right here in Georgia, USA there is a 37 year old woman who got married to a 15 year old kid last week. And apparently the law covers them safely becuz the lady is pregnant. If she wasn’t, however, they couldn’t have gotten married in the first place.

Now who on earth would make such a stupid law when they also have a law that says that people under the age of 16 can not legal consent of sexual acts. And they give a bold title like “child molestation”. And beyond all that they also save people by saying that you can’t marry unless you are over 16 and have parents permission or if (you get) the bride pregnant.

Messed up. That’s all I gotta say about that.

The blacklist

Yes, yes, I know what you are thinking. He’s back on that Need For Speed Most Wanted topic again. But come on. I had to. I just played the PC demo and I have to say that it runs smooth on my PC!! I agree with Aj, NFS is probably one of the better titles to come out of EA (read from the game dev hoes).

F.E.A.R is G.R.E.A.T

Yes. That’s what I say. Granted that I didn’t really finish the demo, but man it’s creepy, ok? To be short, some of the cool features of this game might be in the actual graphics. And to think that I don’t supposedly see an inch of what that can do. I mean I am running the demo of the game on a 2 year old graphix card. It’s a GeForce4 Ti4200 for crying out loud. But damn, it still looks good. I mean, it could have been horrible compared to what it looks like on a 7800GT.

I can’t really say much about the game play as I didn’t play it for that long. But I can mention that Max Payne’s bullet time have revolutionized gaming at least a bit. I know at least 3 other games that has some sort of bullet-time feature. And F.E.A.R has it too. May be one day I’ll play the actual game and then I can brag like all the others about how awesome this game is, but until then, it’s Ti4200 signing off.
