Cali Trip: Davis and Sacramanto
California. I’ve been here for about two days now driving around this thing that they label as the PT Cruiser. Apparently it’s an economy level rental car type vehicle.
Anyways, Davis is quite a nice college town. Of the college towns I have been to, I have to say that I love the fact that this is also a big bicycle town. I mean it’s so bike friendly that they even have stop and go lights for bicycles.
Sacramanto on the other hand struck to me as a small city, with a handful of tall buildings. Parts of it reminds me of New York. Other parts reminded me of Albany, NY. And some little parts could be marked as Atlanta, but not too much. The interesting thing is that you go 1 mile away from the city you can see farm lands. It’s actually cool.
Joe and I checked out this community today with a whole bunch of new houses. The location of the community was great. It’s 10 minutes from the airport and 10 minutes from downtown Sacramanto. And there were a couple that we thought looked great, but of course the prise is always closer to a half million when we like it.
More to come as shit happens.
