I personally don’t really know much about the situation, so I can’t really say why people are getting so upset about it. I haven’t been able to find the cartoon itself either. However, it’s amazing that Wikipedia already has a detail article on it.
I hate loss of freedom and that’s what organized anything seems to be doing. you organize something and the people getting organized are sacrificing something for it. And it’s always amazing how the leaders on top somehow comes out to be above the law. Take Equilibrium for instance. They made every man and women equal. They have ranks and all but everyone still sits together in one common hall. And the main guy? Well, it turns out that he has managed to live with feelings and all while everyone is drugged so that they can’t feel.
The world is crazy. That’s what I say. I don’t really know where everything is going. I believe that Islam has a saying that when the end is near the world is going to start getting crazier and crazier. People will stop being religious. There will not be any self-respect. And blah blah blah. Funny how the world is coming to it slowly. I always thought that’s just another way of keeping people in the box.
Farscape used to knock on the fact that the people are not united on Earth. Where people on the far end fo the universe are united in species, we are still stuck up at the racial level. The show will keep banking on the fact that humans as species becuz of it. Any other species willing to take over Earth can just as easily do so. It’s only becuz we are in turmoil with ourselves always. I mean the show even went as far as to use the events of 9/11 to further justify a global unity. But alas, we still fight.
Some of us are worried about patching up their 3rd world country, but what good will that do if there is no world to live on any more?
