A couple of weeks ago I got notified by Bink.nu that as their member I can apply for a evaluation for Windows Vista. I figured why the hell not. So I applied and, as usual, forgot all about it. Today I was surprised by an email from Micro$oft asking me to accept or decline the request. So now I’m officially getting a copy of Windows Vista 64-bit on my system! It still has 10 hours to download (no thanx to slow DSL connections) but it’s gonna be there tomorrow. And then may be it won’t have all the horrific SATA problems that I heard Beta 1 had.
I can’t wait to play around with it. The idea of a 3D accelerated Desktop is like looking at OS X

Nice screenshots. They make me salivate involuntarily. Thanks for the eye candy. Time to look into buying a new 64-bit processor and mobo.
