On Sunday, I got stuck baby-sitting the kids. Not that it is a bad thing, just that I had to be somewhere. Since I had to keep them all happy and psyched, I ended up taking them to the local Best Buy so that we could get Mario Strikers Charged. Everything was going fine until we got the game and got back to the car.

As I approached the car, I noticed that a Chinese family was getting in the car on the right of me – a Honda Accord. Noticing me approach my car the ‘father’ asked me if was the driver of my car, and then proceeded to tell me that the passenger door has inadvertently dinged his car. There was no dents mind you, just some of the glossiness went away. After making sure, I apologized since I haven’t noticed and the kids don’t recall bumping the door. With that I offered my contact and insurance info, in case that makes him feel better.

In reply, he told me that he called 911. Now what kind of a person calls the cops for dinging his car? A guy who drives an exotic? May be a high-end luxury? We are talking about a typical 2004/5 Honda Accord here. Of course, the cop just didn’t know what to say. He just said that he cannot write a ticket since it’s private property (which I knew anyway) and that he filed it as ‘unintentional property damage’ since both cars were stationary when it happened.

How annoying can a person be? Due to the whole waiting for the cop thing, the kids never got to play Mario Strikers Charged
